Why am I adding this adventure to the myriad of things I already have to do? I have no idea. Maybe this time I have seriously lost my marbles. To be honest, I thought blogging looked like fun. I really have nothing beneficial to say to anyone. Why anyone would want to read anything I have to say is beyond me. My kids don't even listen to me half of the time.
OK, some background information: My name is Kelly and I have been married to Andrew for 10 1/2 years. We have three wonderful sons. Noah is the oldest. He is eight years old, going into the third grade. Noah is our politcian - never gives a straight answer to anything. Jacob is the middle child. He is five and will be starting Kindergarten in the fall. He's our compassionate one. And then there's Elijah. Elijah is the youngest, the caboose. He's fifteen months old and full of energy.
I am currently attending graduate school to get my masters in Language Arts Curriculum and Instruction. Hopefully, the masters degree in addition to my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education will allow me to finally land a full time teaching job. Maybe, maybe not...I don't exactly know people in the right circles to get hired. Apparently a 4.0 GPA and glowing references and evaluations mean nothing.
Hobbies....name one and I've probably got it. I knit, crochet, play piano, cross stitch, paint, sew, draw, write, read, bake, dabble in graphic arts and web design, sing, etc. etc. etc. About the only thing I don't do is dance or anything else requiring any level of athleticism...I'm a clutz.
So, the plan for this blog is for me to be able to discuss my struggles as a mom, wife, woman, student, and professional as well as share my joys in these same areas. I hope to be able to post entries about my crafting and how it is developing. Maybe be able to swap ideas with others in the future.
Expectations: not many...like I said, I'm not that interesting...not sure why anyone would read this...unless it is to cure insomnia or for a good laugh...
That's it for my beginning...there's more to come....
